Need help identifying scorp - Southern Nevada
Gents,
I need help identifying this little scorp I caught last night. It was caught in the Mohave Desert in Southern Nevada, but only 3 miles from the Arizona border. I was thinking it looked like a Vaejovis spinigerus, but I'm not sure. Any help appreciated. I may trade this one in the Want to B/S/T section after I correctly identify it.
Thanks,
Crotalusherper

It definitely looks like its in the family Vaejovidae, and I would say Hoffmannius spinigerus, but only because it is a really common Vaejovid. It could be a closely related species, but my bet is Hoffmanius spinigerus.
Also, the current classification is Hoffmannius, not Vaejovis.

Ok, thanks ShredderEmp. I wasn't sure which was the most current classification. So I took a 50/50 shot, lol. I just wasn't sure the pedipalps looked right. Off to B/S/T section he goes....

I'm no expert though so see what others have to say.
