At 1700 i found him like this:
Rhopalurus garridoi J0nu

Then 20mins later it was like this
Rhopalurus garridoi Qazb

It stayed like that for 2 hours without moving with the scorpion getting weaker and weaker

So with a scalpel and pin i opened the old exuvia slowly and pulled up on the tail with the tongs. The scorp started moving and the telson of the exuvia broke off leaving the new telson exposed with the next segment strangulating the fast expanding telson  Shocked

I had to cut the off too and put the scorp in ICU for a few days

See the white telson which had been strangled for a while.

I can understand the anxiety as we watch our scorpions getting weaker each time they tried to wriggle their way out of the old exuvia.

Glad that it all worked out well. Thanks for sharing!

A great proof that sometimes it is indeed possible to save a scorpion from what some would consider a "certain death
