Topic Both Male and Female H. Longimanus Popped?!

My Female H. Longimanus Popped last week, but just this morning my Male H. Longimanus also popped a brood. might this prove parthenogenisis in the heterometrus genus?

H. Longimanus are not parthenogenetic. The strongest conclusion that can be drawn from this is that the alleged male was misidentified.

You had two females all along.

Male scorpions can not produce offspring inside themselves.

@yames They are identified as male and female. their genital operculum was of male and female respectively.

This is what i used to confirm their gender.

I agree on the fact that it was probably mis-sexed as a male. Heterometrus sp. are not parthenogenetic.

Good idea. Just make sure the scorplings have left the mom's back on their own.

Just a share: here in our country (Philippines), the H.L specie that circulates in the hobby are mostly female, which possibly may be the reason why H.L in Ph are considered parthenogenetic. Pretty much a sure statement.
