P. Trans not molting

Hi everyonee I have a P. Trans that has not molted for over a year now. Its not at 7i yet because since i got the scorp it only molted once. It is my one and only scorpion because i took it from someone who has a young child and he does not want the child the get stung by the scorp. Is there anything i can do to encourage it or do i just leave it? On another note it does not want to eat aswell and there is no signs of it molting..

Hi TyronSA, how hot are you keeping the enclosure?

I keep it at normal room temp because I live in the area where it comes from so in winter the tank temp is normally at 15 -25 and summer it goes up to 38 sometimes but then i spray the tanks side to cool it down a bit but i keep the lid off when i spray it otherwise it gets to humid.

Is that Celsius or Fahrenheit?

When summer comes around it will probably start feeding and molting again. Most of my scorpions are also put through a short hibernation.

My concern is it has not molted in over a year since i got it it molted only once.. Not sure if i'm doing something wrong.. It has started coming out at night now since its spring here. We already had days where it was 35C.

What instar is it at now? If it's 5i+ I wouldn't worry too much about it, it's what scorpions do.
Where in SA are you? Down here in the Western Cape it's still pretty cold...

Im not sure it is either 4i or 5i. As i said i got it from someone who had a small kid. He couldn't tell me what instar it was. I am from Limpopo - Musina
