Greetings from the Rock!
Hi all
My name is Shane and I have been fascinated by inverts ever since i can remember. I live in Gibraltar at the southernmost tip of Europe and have been collecting inverts a bit more seriously now for the last 3 years
My current collection is about 65 tarantulas and 18 scorpions with a few more to come this spring. The plan is to breed a few species over this coming year and try to keep the supply of captive bred scorpions in the hobby so the number of wild caught specimens are reduced.
I really like the Buthids but love most species of scorpions actually especially Hadrurus which i think are put on the beginners list but can be very entertaining to keep. I currently suspect my female H arizonensis is gravid so hopefully i get a brood this summer when the temperature skyrockets
I am a keen photographer too so always out in the field shooting wildlife
Not sure what else to say other than I hope to share some of my experiences and photographs with you all and learning quite a bit I am sure.
All the best

Welcome to ASA Shane!
That's quite a collection you've got there. Feel free to share pictures, we do love to see them.
Good luck with the Hadrurus, that will be quite a challenge, not many have succeeded to rear the early instars.

Thank you very much. Lets hope some of my breeding attempts work. I have a few Scorpions and a few tarantulas ready for action
