How do you know?

I'll try to keep it short. Since I have grand kids, I keep my hot scorpions in my office, so I'm unable to keep a close eye on them except when I'm in the office. After putting a male in with one of my females, two days later I noticed a spermatophore on one of the rock surfaces I placed in the enclosure. Other than waiting 9 to 12 months are there any other signs, that it was successful?

Increased appetite, fatness, increased aggression, refusal to mate again, and hostility to anything that moves. Re-introduce the male in a week or two to check.

I like shreddies answer. Especially removing the male for a short while then reintroducing him. If she is already gravid she will not allow him to mate again.
