Hey guys
Hey guys hope you're doing well
I've recently decided to get back into keeping inverts. Several years ago I kept a G.Rosea, P.Cambridgei, A. Versicolor and a B.Smithi but I'm looking at Scorpions these days and will receive some shortly
Also trying to convince my girlfriend to let me have a Scolopendra Hardwicki
Look forward to getting know you guys.

Re: Hey guys
Welcome back to the hobby mate
To convince your girlfriend...
I'll strongly suggest to introduce inverts with lesser pairs of legs first, that's what i did, and it works!

And good luck After some years of keeping scorpions and some Ts, I have still not been able to convince my wife on a pede.

Re: Hey guys
Cheers guys, thanks for the welcome. Ha yeah fair one, although she has expressed an interest in the more colourful Ts.
I've got a H.Arizonensis, P.Cavimanus and H.Swammerdami on order. I couldn't help myself so I ordered three after several weeks of research
I'll post some pics up once they arrive.

Re: Hey guys
Ts usually have a pretty good WAF so go and get some.
We're all waiting for those pics once your new additions arrive. Those are some great species to own.

Re: Hey guys
Will do.
I just have a quick question about H.Arizonensis. The desert care sheet here recommends offering water every now and then but how often should I do this? I'm just wondering about causing mycosis.
Cheers.

Re: Hey guys
Good question. To be exact, "every now and then" (detail of how much? and how? to read up at ASA desert scorpion caresheet) is only recommended for juvenile to sub-adult desert scorpions. (2.instar - 5.instar)
Due to their shorter molting interval, they are not so much bound by the concern of mycosis. For adult desert specimens, a small capful of water (with pebbles) filled once every 10-14 days will be fine

Re: Hey guys
Sorry mate I missed that bit on the care sheet - I need to read more carefully
I also realised I'm steering this thread off track :S
